Independent platform

Praxis Data Lab is a platform of Praxis Global Institute. It is independent of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Center for Health Statistics, and other source publishers. References to an agency, dataset, program, or trademark identify the source and do not imply sponsorship, certification, or endorsement.

Source data and documentation

NHANES datasets and documentation originate with CDC/NCHS. Praxis indexes, organizes, and evaluates public source material to improve discovery, comparison, and reproducibility. Users should consult the linked official documentation before making consequential analytical decisions.

Research and statistical responsibility

Variable availability, harmonization guidance, change evidence, and study-building tools support research planning; they do not determine the correct design for every question. Survey weights, eligibility, subsamples, variance estimation, cycle combination, missing data, recoding, and interpretation remain study-specific responsibilities.

No professional or clinical advice

Platform content is provided for informational, educational, and research-support purposes. It is not medical, clinical, legal, financial, regulatory, or other professional advice and should not be used to diagnose, treat, or make decisions about an individual.

Availability and accuracy

Praxis applies automated and human validation controls, but no data service can guarantee that every source, label, link, interpretation, or update will always be complete, uninterrupted, or error-free. Material decisions should be verified against the cited source evidence.
